Genet 2010 Panellists

Geir Uvsløkk is a French literature scholar. He is currently working as a postdoctoral research fellow at The University of Oslo, studying gender discourses in contemporary French literature. His doctoral thesis discussed perversion in the early works of Jean Genet. He has also been working as a translator for the Norwegian edition of Le Monde diplomatique since 2004, and he has translated Jean Genet’s essays on Rembrandt and Giacometti into Norwegian.
Peter Bush: Has three translations coming out in the US and the UK, in early 2011
- Teresa Solana's second novel - A Shortcut to Paradise - that has a translator protagonist;
- Níjar Country, a political travel book by Juan Goytisolo from 1960, and his latest novel:
- Exiled from Almost Everywhere - from 2008.
